hey guys just downloaded the ECUtalk software,basic but fairly useful,

just bin for short drive

 

noticed my o2 sensors lh and rh arnt the same all the time lol

and ive got a code : 34= knock sensor (0 starts)

what does this mean and what do i do now? faulty sensor maybe,weird because wen i checked the codes last time i only got the temperature sensor for the ECU, sorted that, now im getting knock sensor. but last time i used the blinking light method,:huh:

If your knock sensor has gone, it will be running in safety mode, ie lack of boost, speed.

Occasionally can be corroded terminals in the plug ends, or duff sensor loom. If you test it again it might not show a code 34, which means you could have an intermittent connection and not a dead sensor. Disconnect your battery to reset the ecu, leave about an hour, reconnect, start engine for a few minutes then off, give the ecu a chance to re-learn settings.

Do the test again with the software and see what it comes up with and go from there.

i have a lazy o2 sensor also. gonna swap it tomorrow and hope it sorts my odd fuelling issue

 

i use datascan on my laptop and ecutalk on my pda to read data from my z, cant fault any of them,
