Brakes

Hi, Whilst driving my brakes began to fail, until almost completly gone. The pedal just drops to the floor. Brake pipes are fine, was told that it could be the master cylinder, what do you think?

The 90 and 91 Z had a problem with failing Master Cylider. I know that on my Z it has been replaced. The 92 + apparently has this fixed.

never heard of that one to be hobest. You might have a leak in your system.

Try compleetly bleeding the system. And check your brake fluid level. If it goes then you may have a leak.

Let just say you have average brake stopping power on a standard setup and you change the fluid to Dot 5. Will much of a difference by noticed?

Bit hypothetical I know but was just curious. Can old fluid cause that much degradation in stopping and staying power?

Yes definatly. If you bleed your system properly and use the correct fluid 4 or higher and maby get braided hoses you will notice a much better pedal and feel. And less fade
