I've changed the plugs (NO CHANGE).

What elsa could it be?

My first thought is that the PTU is starting to fail. It can either go completely, which seems to be most common, or it can affect a single cylinder. Alternatively iot could be wiring related or possibly, but less likely the injector. Try swapping leads around, with the plugs out, to see which are firing ...

Replying to both your posts in one go so tongue.gif

Am I right in saying the car wasn't running on all cylinders properly before you did the cleaning? If so, when you're driving for a while, does the cat overheat light come on? If it does then there's a spark problem, if it doesn't then there's a fueling problem.

My guess is that the problem is one of your injector connectors. If you need some more help with this let me know and I'll go into more detail....

What is a PTU & where is? what does it do ?

Hi Ken!

The PTU (Power T... (something) Unit) is the unit that supplies the "sparks" to the coil packs. As our cars don't have distributors to delegate the sparks, the PTU takes its place.

To find it open the bonnet, look at your left boost pipe and you will see something metallic that looks like a heat sink (square in design). It will have one big plug attached on the side and one thin black wire attached to it. This is the PTU.

For more detailed info you'll have to speak to AndyP cos he's the master of everything PTU!

Cheers mate!

Danny

PS - how's the finger?

Shrek - Here is the PTU, Feel free to remove it and shove it up the arse of any passing Nissan Executive LOL smile.gif
