There I was trying to get the Consult working and I noticed this waving about in the breeze. Hopefully one of you experts will know what it is and where it should be plugged into (or should that be "into where it should be plugged" :) ).

This is on my 1993 S3 Auto 2+2 NA if it makes any difference.

ABS check connector...only found on the S2+ models

 

it is used for easy access to the self diagnostics mode of the ABS ECU

Thanks Eric, always good to get good advice. I take it that I can just leave it alone. Do you know what the white socket is just to the right? Between the ABS connector and the Consult connector. Just curious.

the other one is called the "trunk check connector", whatever that means :)

I'm not exactly sure what it does or checks...
