I saw this the other week, I doubt she would have got a very good reception back then, its hard enough getting a signal now some times !

It's very very odd, a little bit creepy to be honest. I'd say scratching her/his ear but looking at it they don't move their hand from the shape that's holding whatever it is next to their ear and speaking the whole time.

Saw this last week,great to watch,i love this sort of stuff,,imo it's defo a time traveller,or an alien dressed up talking to its superior in the mothership.

whos he/she talking too? maybe there are 2 time travellers, as she/he cant be talking to anyone from present time as the odds are they were not born yet, 2 time travellers nattering to each other.... amazing!!

maybe the phone is the time travel device and she/he is telling it where they want to go next!!!

If it were a time traveler and if they were communicating to someone in their present time, then however they got back in time would cause a fluxuation in the space time continueum, most likely an open or inverted wormhole, which would also allow signals to be passed through in the same way as the living matter.

 

Also, look at technology today. Mobile phones went from being a brick to being so small you can barely see them. As more functionality is added to the devices, they start to increase in size again (Iphone, Nokia, most smartphones) so it's totally acceptible that a device that is required to use the technology and a power source large enough to bounce signals over great distances, would indeed start to increase in size. In fact, this could be the ACTUAL device used to travel through time that doubles up as a communications device, miuch like we have Phone, Camera, MP3 player, Video player all in one device. :)

I am actually researching in continuum mechanics, so all what you said is not that strange. however i believe that a more logical approach is needed. these days, we can communicate using earpieces, there are even earpieces used as walkietalkies. so if we one day develop technology to travel into the past, is it not logical to assume that any communication device that we may have would be small enough to fit in the ear? therefore the man/lady/shemale cannot be a time traveller, but an old man/lady/shemale using an early form of hearing aid :)

Couldn't be a form of hearing aid though as she is clearly talking into it and there is no one else around to hear. Also, she stops and turns her head as though in deep conversation.

That's exactly the point - even if it were a "time traveller" who the feck were they talking to. There was no mobile technology back then so even if someone had managed to time travel, they would have no means to communicate using the phone they took back with them.......
