Bracket missing from this pic?

After I identified a loose pipe following my boost loss and black smoke episode, I noticed there appears to be something missing from the engine bay.

The pipe highlighted in green is the outside drivers-side intercooler pipe that goes to the back of the engine, then down (where it's come loose and popped off) - this whole pipe currently moves up and down when pushed and pulled, but it looks like along with the jubilee clip at the back of the engine, there should be something in the red circle that clamps the pipe to side of the plenum. Is this the case?

actually, i think that is (or should be) one of the 2 outside brackets that hold the plenum to the block? I see if i can find a pic....

cool thanks Gonzo and Tudor. i wonder if anyone, upon upgrading to an EBC, has either left the stock solenoid there or fabricated a bracket, as it seems a useful thing to have to help clamp down this pipe, especially under increased boost...?

You dont need all these silly brackets just be happy they are gone and saving weight :)

the bracket helps hold the plenum in place but the bolts can be a right ******* to get back in if the bracket is loosened off below and not put back exactly in the right place. They probably couldn't get the bolts back in !
