just wired a switch in to the one side of my reverse lights, put an led fog light bulb in and it was very dull- how can i make the light look brighter, do i have to aluminium foil the inside of the reverse lights hole or is there a normal bright red bulb i can buy ??

Thanks :D

it sits in the housing fine and the led itself is bright- but i think due to there being no reflective surfaces inside the rear indicator section that may be why its not looking bright when its in the housing and on. - do i need to cover the inners red and use a clear bulb ? or can i buy a normal red bulb? - not too keen on the led one tbh so after i tried it i gave it back as it didnt do the job i wanted.

When i originally used my reverse light as a fog, i used a normal white bulb and used some red lighting gel, but you could see the gel through the lens. I would go for a red bulb, it will reflect better in the housing. Mine passed the MOT with the gel method, if thats what your worried about lol

lol mot is the main issue as i use the fog light rarely- but i cant find anywhere that sells a bog standard red bulb- they all seem to be led, i may foil the inside of it aswell to make it reflect out a bit more, may brighten things up, cheers grooves :D

cheers guys will be on the case once the bulb arrives,

xedwizz - that units a bit too posh for me :D

I wonder why Zedwizz is plugging them, Mmmmmmmmmmmm!!!!!

It's a no brainer really bud, the red bulb will work fine but do this fog and reverse mod from Martin when pennies allow and you can just then forget about them.

A nice even set up as well
