well, i just sold the silver n/a, went to my unit in town to collect some bits for it in my Black TT and 3 miles down the road the temp guage shot up, openend the bonnet and steam was pissing out, I let it settle a bit and could see it was coming from the back of the engine, seemed more from the passenger side, it was dark and i didnt have a torch so couldn't really pin point it. i'll go and have a better look in the morning, but does anyone have an idea of what pipe it could be?

Ones on the back of the engine going to the matrix are a bit of a b, to get too, you will need to create the space by removing the wiring harness from the drivers side back along the fire wall, get as much out of the way as possible and you should get better access.

If its the turbo pipe on the passenger side, this too can be reached but again its a balls ache, remove the battery to get better access, also jeffTT has a post about water by pass, have a look it will show the location of the water pipes that could possibly of come off / split.

my advice if it is any of the pipes at the rear of the engine get a couple of sets of long nose pliers to aid in the fitting of new pipes

ok thanks guys, i again dont have time today, it will probably have to be a weekend thing now.

thanks for the help by the way! :flowers:
