yea the new one cam with a bulb

the wee light on the dash switch isnt lighting any more..the wierd thing is though my dad put a pulse meter on the terminals and it seams as though the current is reaching the switch

In line fuse between the switch and the light ? Mine is an import and has one in the boot near where the cables go through a grommet in the floor.

cheers anyway for confirming this

I was gonna replace my fog light with an ultrabrite red LED strip. clear when off but then super bright red when on :)

Maybe that'll do it for you? only a few quid off eBay

well it turnd out after i had stripd away the trim on one side that there was no inline fuse at all so after rewiring a new line in..i descoverd the fuse behind the light toggles was blown

ohh well lesson learnd i think

Sorted mine out yesterday, changed the bulb, didn't work still, pulled out the switch in the dash, still didn't work, turned the fog button on with the rear fog switch, it lit up like a Christmas tree. so will have to explain that to the MOT guys when i take it lol

must be wired to the front fogs live i assume?

Yep, the switch gave it away, pulled that out and it had a "acc" lead coming off it, so presumed it went to the side pod, turned that on, and on popped the rear fog.

I wish I could do all this stuff, my zed's wiring is shocking and a previous owner has done the rear lights fudge job so 2 of the rear lights have been wired as a fog. Its a crap mod to pass the MOT - I like Pete's idea of the LEDs but wouldn't have a scooby where to start.
