Yes definitely. I just bught one, total with vat and shipping is £60 now got to fit the bloody thing, but looking foward to having some heat back in the car lol.

Yes the heater matrix from a primera P10 can be used in the zed, in most cases a direct fit, in some a slight shaving of the matrix plastic housing, as its a few mill thicker, but most have not had an issue with the fitment.

I will probably be the one with an issue now that ive said that lol.

cheers graham . i remember seeing this thread before i needed one . has yours arrived yet . whats the quality like

Hopefully be here tommorrow, but some guys from here had one and fitted it with no issues.

Look at it this way, its better than not having one at all and if my existing one lasted for 20 years i will be happy to get half that lifespan lol

Any luck fitting it as yet? I'm just about to order one too.

Ive been trying to get round to fitting it for the past 2 weeks lol, but with an inner ear infection, just cleared and decorating cos got new carpets coming monday, im hoping to get it in next week as its getting cold.

Just made a start on the swap and already encountering some difficulties... How do you remove the black box that covers the heater? I've managed to get a few of the screws out but the top ones seem to be behind the clutch pedal. Anyone managed to change the heater matrix on a manual with the dash in place?

Thats what I've been trying to follow. I think theirs must be an automatic as there isn't half as much space shown in those pictures when you have a clutch pedal in the way.

I've done these 3:

But these ones can't even be seen let alone reached as far as I can tell :confused1::

Ah, sorry, hadn't spotted that. Mr F previously advised take the dash out http://zclub.net/forum/z32-300zx/1212-heater-core.html when someone else had similar issues.

But OTOH, when ZTech did mine on my manual TT yonks ago, they did it without dash removal. Don't know how - all they said was they had to get upside-down in the footwell. Sounds horrible.

Good luck.

It,s much easier to take the drivers seat out it,s only 4 bolts then lay on your back !! lol , the ausie tech info is for an auto , i don,t know if the matrix will pass by the clutch pedal assembly. HTH
