Wouldnt worry with the steering locks and stuff then?

Im even thinking of leaving the stereo in and on show as its a rubbish one that no one will bother with it.

I intend on getting an alarm fitted, i just dont like it when they start drilling into trim and bodywork to fit wires and stuff

Toad and auto watch mix, both immobilisers with one having the alarm, no issues apart from the autowatch siren stopped working properly, but £65 for a new one and all is good.

With both, if you get past one immobiliser the other is still active until you disarm it.

I had a cheap stereo in could of only been worth 30 quid and they had that away outside my house. Wouldnt leave it in the car no matter how cheap some pikey will have it. Cost me 50 quid to get a second hand passenger window and then insurance tried to put my insurance up cos i had an `incident` as they called it even though i didnt claim. Not worth it IMO

I've got a top guy that fitted my Toad Ai606 interactive alarm...brilliant piece of kit and the dude is magic. Very very helpful indeed and travels to you despite being based in the North...pm me if you want his contact...

None! Frankly if somebody is going to steal your car, they are going to get it one way or the other - if they can't get it started towing is the next best deal. A key and lock is as much of a deterrent as it's worth having in my eyes for the electrical nightmares you can face a few years down the line. I've had to remove 2 full alarm systems after they c*cked up cars running.

im getting the system from falcon security this week im getting the evo 4 alarm i think its one down from that one, 100 quid alarm and 250 for fitting

I'll go with this.

If it's gonna get nicked, it's gonna get nicked. The most security mine gets is being locked in a garage.

Nobody pays attention if a car alarm is going off these days anyway.

Its not really getting nicked that im worried about, its just the thought of someone smashing the window to have a look inside, or someone vandalising the car

I never leave valuable in the car and nothing is ever on show, but i just want a deterrent really, i thought if it at least looks protected then the scum will stay clear. But then again the way i think is a bit wierd, if i saw something that had a hell of alot of security id see that as they have something of value in there.

I cant win really.

Smithy that looks good. Is it insurNce recognised

Soz mate i dunno, i put it down on my insurance form but over here they don't care if your car is alarmed or not as no one really steals cars over here lol

Great bit of kit though and obviously fully trackable and allows you to phone the car and stop it if someone is driving it as well as phone them and tell them your doing it :-)
