Is This Normal?

I've noticed that even when stood still, a lot of heat is coming from the area around the front driver's side wheel arch. All other areas are OK.

Any ideas? Is this normal?

does it do it when the fan kicks in? usually the only place for heat to go is out the wheel arch. my Pug did the same, come to think of it most of my cars did the same when the cooling fan kicked in

Does your car hold its temp? if so, shouldn't worry to much.

Yes - normal. Mine kicks out loads of heat. Notice it just as I'm getting out the drivers door after a run and the viscous fan has fully engaged.

Thanks guys; it got me quite worried to be honest.

Car has been perfect for over a year (touch wood) and temperature remains constant. Just wasn't sure if a new problem was developing.
