Eat well, sleep well, take yor multi-vits and regular exercise. None of which i do, hence i'm permanently run down!

I picked up a chesty cough recently,,,i havent had any alcohol for 23 days and was wondering if thats y,,,,i never picked up anything when i was getting drunk every weekend.

I can't remember what it is specifically you are supposed to be lacking in if you are prone to catching any colds etc that are doing the rounds. Does your mrs work in an air conditioned office? Supposed to be notorious for spreading colds etc.

I guess I must be lucky as I never seem to get ill (well maybe a runny nose for a day)! I've had about half a day off ill in the last 10 years - I had this persistent cough which wouldn't go away. Julia kept on at me to see the doc but I ignored her. Anyway she made me an appointment (like women do) so I went along - you know, for a quiet life.....

After a few tests, the doc asked me how I felt (fine) and whether I had taken any time off work (no). Then he dropped it on me - he said go home and rest for 2 weeks; you have pneumonia!!!

I had to concede and take the rest of the day off - but I went to work the next day as I felt perfectly fine; and I thought it was wrong to stay off!!

I guess I've a strong constitution - but it will no doubt catch up with me later.......

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:
