Just rang up to book my dog in for her yearly jabs and price has gone up to £52, 25 % increase from last year. I asked why the price increase to which she said don't know, that's just the price. I called Medivet just to compare and it's £19. I just hate them all, you can't do without them if you own an animal but it's crap that you can so easily be ripped off :censored:

I did the same with my first dog, only had her inital jabs and that was it. She lived to 11.5 and I always believe the jabs were another rip off.

Don't know why but with Kassy I've had her jabs done every year. Part of me still believes she doesn't need them as she's always looked after well and never left in kennels or mistreated/goes without.

Does anyone know what the yearly jabs are actually for?

i rember bone radial was produced for the bones of working dogs, then some guy realised it was good for arthritis (or something or other) and it went from £2 a bottle to £13 a bottle overnight lol

yes mate..to buy expensive German cars:censored:

not sure what the yearly jabs are for, but we have never had the follow up jabs for any of our dogs over the years, always lived long healthy lives

I watched some programme on Discovery and the reckon that cats, dogs, horses, only need them done once every 5 years at most as once you have them done you get a resistance that lasts a lot longer than a year, its a money spinner.

one thing to remember

dogs are like humans, if a human can take a medcine so can a dog and vice versa

do we need antibiotics evey year?? no we dont, so why should a dog

a dog catches most things through its feet when its warm as a dog only sweats and opens pours thorugh its feet and tounge and if it smells something that doesnt seem right it wont lick it, but it doesnt know if it has stepped in it till it smells its foot at home and licks it clean

i cant see any jab defending the dog against anything that is out there better than its own immune system
