Just curious what you all used to stick the stuff down. Is there any that I can get from local places such as b&q or halfrauds etc etc

i used a dunelm heavy duty spray upholster glue and i use the Evo stick spray glue and id say steer way way clear! It seemed good for about 3 days then i noticed the heat in the car being black interior cause all the glue to lift then as it did, it all just dried away....now my interior looks like an OAPs breasts male or female, not a good look. :(

Slick pete found this is a previous thread

if i do my 2nd attempt myself i will be using the can of clue with the brush attatchment.

needs to be proper contact adhesive, all the spray stuff will just lift in the heat. I went to a local re-trimmers and got some of the stuff they use. Brown gloopy stuff which needs be applied with a brush.

Evo stick Instant contact adhesive - Solvent version.

Comes in a tin and you brush it on, usually behind counter or kept locked up elsewhere.

Dont get the non-solvent or spray on version, they are crap.

Any good hardware store will have the evo stick glue, i think B&Q have it, but to be honest never looked as i have a local hardware shop who supply it.

b & q

blue tin take it to the counter to get a full one :) count on using 2 small tins to do the full interior

Its up to you really. You wouldnt need to to use it everywhere, maybe at the arm position on the door cards and the centre console. Using a foam (very thin, almost like a liner) can give it substance, but i would glue the foam to the material first, let it go off, then apply most of the glue to the card youre fitting it too, otherwise you end up with a bubbly mess lol.

Take a look on you tube and search for car interior retrim, there are some great tips around.
