My son is the the Captain for his school boccia team , he came 2nd in the UK finals last November in Nottingham,I think it was Nottingham, this is the big one for him as its a chance to be put foward into the UK team

I hope he wins and gets into the Uk team. Good luck to him!

Its a game played with balls, there not true balls IE there made of leather and not perfectly round , inside is filled with a sandy composite , there slightly bigger than a cricket ball , some wheelchair users who have no use off their limbs ,use a ramp and then there chin is used to move the e/w/hair and then release the ball , its played on a wooden smooth indoor court , to able body people like us, the nearest game similar is bowls the old mans game , but to watch

these wheelchair games not just boccia ,is fascinating and the gadgets that wheelchair user's have , the electronics they user to over come problems is truly amazing , if i get a chance i will get a short vid up of the game when Tim gets back fri/ night , to give you an idea of Tims chair [ he cannot and never will walk ] his top half is just as me and you , and his scence of humour is truly good ,it cost us £12,000 , hope you understood my explanation lol
