Bleeding Power steering

When I remove and then replace the power steering reservoir and lines from the PS pump I will need to refill & bleed the PS system again which looks pretty simple( turning the wheels and filling with oil) > But will I have to bleed the Hicas system as well? Mine's a 1990 and I think the 2 systems are connected? Anyone know? cheerz.

Coogs,

I ran my car with the PS pump removed for about 3wks while I was waiting for one to be delivered.

I too thought that I'd need to bleed the HICAS but after refitting the pump and having covered over 1500mls it all seems okay, all I did was bleed the PS system in the way you outlined.

I hope this helps, other people might have had other experiences.

Tim
