Damn cracked the valve cover

When tightening the valve cover it cracked, did'nt even give it that much

This was the top one without the oil filler. Do you think I will get away with it, its on the over side of the gasket plus its a middle bolt rather then the outside ones.

i'll bet ya didn't put the rubber washer thingies on did ya! that's what i did, the the intake which has the rubber gasket and not liquid needs those rubber washer efforts or it'll crack easily, mine has been fine tho, no leaks at all, and mine was at a corner, but it ain't ideal... i'll be changing mine next time the plenum is off...

I thought the rubbers where just for the lower covers. I did the lower ones first and I have no rubbers left.

umm I see what Ive done ive put the screws and rubbers in the lower ones and bolts in the top ones. Should of been the other way round. Cant matter much :)

Yep thanks, I know why I did it getting bolts in those lower ones will loose some blood :)

Why dont you try getting a washer on it to help compress it? just a thought :)
