hey everyone, as my zed has the standard speakers still in it i thought i would spruce up the sounds a little. it seems there might be room for some 6x9s int he door cards at the front, has anyone done this before? and if so any guidance to be offered? many thanks

i have 6x 9s in my doors, you will needto make a baffle plate for each to help support the weight of the speakers, also it will sound 100% better if you sound deaden the doors aswell. i did both inner and outer skin on my doors and the sound is great even for 20 year old boss 6 x 9 s LOL.

Looks ok but will need to change to MDF or Marine Ply asap, would cover with soundmat aswell, especially panel behind as the 6x9 shift quite a bit of air

tbh i just bought the stuff on ebay. works just as well as dynamat and brown bread at a quarter of the price.

Hellraiser - how did you get the sound proofing on the inner panels? Is it possible to take the panels apart on the door or do you just need small hands??
