converted the sidelights to LED, what do people think?

Hi everyone

Is anyone else of the opinion of I wish my sidelights matched my HID's?

well.. I was, I hated that my little sidelights (hidden in the foglight housing) were a dull orange when my main beams were so white!

So whilst in my local maplins I saw, in a lowered price rack, a group of LEDs which were ready wired for use within a car, you can just drill a hole in where ever your putting it and it locks in, which was quick, easy and as they were only £3 a box, cheap too!

What do you think?

Nice work, they match very nicely.

I have something like these in mine for the fogs

Do these literally replace the current fog bulb, because your right, thats pretty yellow too, how are they for brightness in comparison to the current fogs..?

Cheers!

They give off a white light to match the 6000k HID's.

Halogen H3's are too yellow

Not bright at all, so they don't bother/dazzle anybody, but I have not got them in there to light up the road.

When the day is dull, I just hit the fog light button, I like to think of them as running lights really :thumbup1:

They look great sky, well done matey. And for just £3 for each corner!!!!! Excellent buddy. There are many people out there who want to charge the earth for led's, and you have done a great job for some small change and a little labour time. Good on ya fella!!

Cracking looking Zed too!!

Al.

you can get led with biult in chip / resistor that fits straight into the original bulb holder.

they,re on ebay about £10 a pair . got them in mine

You can get them even cheaper from Hong Kong, smd is the way to go now, as ive found the normal led based 501's tend to lose one or two leds with vibration or moisture.
