Seems to be a large range in the prices I'm seeing in the FS section here, so i'm unsure on values these days.

 

It's a 91 JDM, 2+2 auto TT, ~110,000km, pearl white.

Had very little use and been garaged since it came off the boat in 2001 so the body doesn't have any rust at all.

Has leather, original deep pile mats, targa bags.

Full 60k service was done a while ago, only done 50 miles since then though. New cam belt, waterpump, v belts, all that stuff.

18" wheels, 7mm tread all round.

 

Bad parts..

Rear spoiler is ****ed, needs replacement.

Drivers door dented and scratched.

Drivers seat bolster worn.

 

Is it going to be worth 2k?

I'd say your car is worth whatever you want to sell it for. Check other prices then decide what you yourself feel your car is worth. After all its your car so ask what you want for it and take it from there.

 

Just a thought but since this is happening way to often maybe the threads asking "what is my car worth" should be stopped completely. It always ends up in mods getting involved anyway. Almost every thread asking what the car is worth is really being used to guage interest in their car should they decide to sell.

your right mate, these threads are only an attempt at back door selling, but we try and be a bit diplomatic about it, rather than close we let it run as ATM it hasnt broken any forum rules

Seriously though, sounds to me like you should get those little jobs sorted and go for top money. OK its not the newest Zed on the market, but the mileage is good and the rust issue is a biggy when it comes to people buying - so more bonus points there. Lastly - clean the car to death befor you take any pics - this will add another £100 quid at least:yes:

 

And as Micheal Knight says - do some research - you must have a gut feeling what its worth? My guess though - it'll be worth more if you get it immaculate and make it stand out. White is a popular colour again, but looks tragic when not pristine. Or do it the lazy way and sell yourself short:oops:

Clarkey, no ones giving you sh1t mate. what he means is that you have been around these forums longer than most, and you know full well that you need to be subscribed to sell. we have all seen these WHATS MY ZED WORTH threads as a way to back door sell. No offence intended Mate, Just making sure we are all clear on the rules. :thumbup1:

see, as i said nice zed, no need to come back all defencive, this place is cool and always has been

 

everyone who posts a thread like this gets the same responce from "the mods", its unfair on the people who subscribe to let registered users sell on the forums, i posted the first responce to just refresh the minds of people that havent visited for a long time, and as an older member of the forum i thought you would have understood the meaning behind my first reply??

A registered member or members mate may be looking for another Z and could miss a prime oppurtuntity in purchasing one. Not wanting to start a row and mods are only doing there job, just my opinion that's all!

So what happens if a regi user, sells you something, you send him money and dont get the parts. No trace, no comeback etc.. etc..

Different scenario for selling a car, but the principle is the same. Its also part of the privelage of being subscribed to be able to sell.

If a regi user had a decent car to sell and know they were more likely to get a sale to members then im sure paying £20 to subscribe is no big deal. It would cost you money to advertise anywhere else.

 

Regi users are permitted to place wanted posts, which benefit the member who might want to buy something that otherwise might not have been available to him.

if you want to sell it on here, then as you have been subbed before £15 aint a bad price to pay, it costs a lot more to advertise on autotrader and you get a lot less
