right basicly i am flying to ireland to look at a z and if all goes ok buy it now i will have to come back on the ferry from belfast to stranrear what i want to do is just turn up on the day if i buy the car and pay for my ticket

Provided there is space on the ferry, you'll be fine. It is holiday season, so space will be limited. You may have to wait .

You're better off just calling Stena lines reservations. But you should be able to just turn up. Some of the ferries to France require booking 24hrs in advance, but that's only really to do with gaining a return fare.

cool thanks just didnt want to end up finding a hotel and staying overnight dont mind waiting will be arriving at belfast at 9 so hopefully deal will be done by 11/12

ive travelled to Germany and back many times before ferries arent like planes where the hike up the prices its pretty much turn up and get the same price as you would if you booked in advance. Ive done it in Holland before just turning up and getting a ticket but best to check availability in case there is a mad rush to get out of Ireland. Also you can take a travel companies number and just book it over the ohone in advance when your there. Only problem is booking a flight on the day isnt going to be cheap.

Prices are more expensive as you can't take part in any of their special deals unless you book more than 24hrs in advance. You get the regular fare price as you can't use any specials at that short of a notice.
