As above i can get hold of some MDF really easily via family but can anyone recommend where to get the rest of the materials?

i'm guessing i need some sort of carpet

some glue or staples?

i will also be putting in a LED 300zx logo that lights up in the boot area at night just for myself so i can have a bit of fun. I have a few ideas and designs, some tacky and some quite good but basically i am wishing to get either an LED strip and design it into a funky 300zx logo on the boot floor or cut it into the floor.

gonna try some ideas out and see if it ends up too tacky!

i wouldnt bother with carpet, damien.

I put it on my boot build that i made for my shorty and it was horrid.

I've decided to cover my LWB boot build with leather this time round.

for a boot build you could use any fabric glue i got some from a local textile shop for a fraction of that price,

and i agree carpet is really hard to get right, id go with leather too, easier to stretch and fit and looks alot less tacky,

IMHO a badly done leather install looks far far worse than a badly done carpet one. All depends which finish you prefer chosing carpet or leather, I find carpet easyer to work with personaly.

Glue the top side and staple the underside for either.

If you need a hand with anything Ive done lots and lots of big installs over the years and I'm only round the corner fella.

I have some black leatherette left over from when I did mine (see my boot build thread and pic below) not sure how much exactly but pretty sure it's enough to do a build like the ones I did on here last year. If you want it just cover postage costs and it's yours let me know if you're interested and I'll find out how much is there.

When I bought it was sold on ebay as ex stock from the MG plant from their cars. Just sticks on with evo stick or smart tack spray contact adhesive. Also have a photo guide thing that I did of procedure. pm me your email and i'll fire it over if you want.

I agree with 8ace..... leatherette is so much easier to fit, it will stretch to almost any angle and cover ever contour with little folding and ruffles. Not as good as leather, but a very good, cheap alternative that can be cleaned very easily with most standard domestic cleaners.

My amp is no longer available.... it was an "Evolution class D monoblock 3000w amplifier 1 ohm stable" which i paid £135 delivered, and £27 import charge.

I am running..... X2, 1000W, 10" Pyramid Imperial, Gold Series :)

I didnt know what amps to have. Only want something modest and wont have speakers too big so i can still keep a bit of boot space

Get a big amp, and if you want to get louder, you will have the amp for your needs.

As for boot space...... it depends on what you need to get in. I made my box with the need to get my golf clubs in, hence the very rear back space (as in my profile pics)(oops, not there!!). Hope this helps you out matey.
