it aint hurting him, although he is such a tough dog he wont show anyway

will take him to the vet this week, have been bathing them but tonite they seem to have got a little worse, im thinking it may be the soap powder when washing his bedding or ourass putting shake and vac down on his rug, ive told her she shouldnt but she still does

I'd deffo get her to stop putting the shake and vac down, would she do that to a baby's bed or her own pillow ;) Get yourself some Hibiscrub from the chemist (vets use it but charge an absolute fortune for it) and dilute it down with warm water, wash his ears twice a day. That's what I would try for a couple of days and if no better then get him down to the vets and get ripped off! lol

cheers bud, will do, she has used shake and vac for over a year now, but with it being warm and sweaty it will make his ears warm and react more to the vac

really appreciate the advice mate, ive had some great advice from you over the two years of rids life and i really appreciate it

Always a pleasure mate, he obviously means a lot to you and it shows ;)

The Hibiscrub stuff is great for cleaning up skin irritations and bacteria and I've used it on both my dogs.

Mine seems to develop an itch and gets skin like you've described now and again and the vets give me doggy piriton and that always seems to do the trick...the vet thinks its an allergy to certain plants/flowers/grasses...its a bloody sheepdog from a farm! A couple of times it was really bad so they gave her steroids as well to help her shift it.

You can buy it online without having to go to the vets as well.

alright stella .

treet dogs like little kids . clean his ears off with luke warm water and wipe a bit of olive oil around just inside his ears. its probably an allergy to something or other . i know you have to sell a kidney nowadays to see the vet but for peace of mind mate its the only way to go. good luck with him and hope the big briuser is feeling better soon .

If you still want to get some Hibiscrub, just pop into your local chemist. As I said, vets charge a fortune for a small bottle of the stuff ;)
