possable afm fault?

i have a uk spec 300zx and it seems to be overboosting and cutting out untill i lift my foot of a bit then it will stay going only seems to happen if you floor it

ive removed the 1.2 mm boost jets that were fitted by last owner and its still the same

ive done a search on here and it seems 300zx dont have fuel cut if you over boost or do they?

is it possable its my afm that buggered?
