Hi guys ... just a check over me zed this avro to see what needs doing for MOT, basically its gonna be:

1x Head light bulb

1x Rear fog bulb

2x pair of rear pads

2x rear shocks

1x rear wheel lug

3x new wiper blades all round

2x new front tyres (groan)

I suppose the tyres are ok for time being as I'll just put me stock wheels on whilst I source some new tyres for my alloys & get them refurbed, but I've had this tracked twice and it still pulls slightly to the left which is probably where the excessive wear on the inner side front passenger tyre has come from, suspect it's been toeing out, so gonna have to get the geometry looked at properly, tyres are gonna eat into my ICE upgrade budget :(

I got some questions regarding rear shocks and rear wheel lug tho:

attachment.php?attachmentid=55473&stc=1&d=1281281981

As you can see by attached picture, bloody wheel bolt sheared off, looks as if it was cross threaded - probably overtightened when I had rear tyres changed by a tyre place in Leicester. Whats involved in replacing that? Am I going to have to beat the wheel bearing apart? :( Can't find relevant section in manual ...

But with the rear shocks ... am I:

attachment.php?attachmentid=55474&stc=1&d=1281281981

A) Going to need a spring compressor to make the job easier (or has anyone got any top tip DIY substitutes?)

B) Adjustable shocks? Whats that all about? e.g. Shock absorber actuator? What is that actuating? Is that part of HICAS? Does that make replacement shocks more expensive? :(

C) Will new shocks come with new dust covers? Because mine are ... well ... non existant :)

D) What are the risks of injury playing with the rear spring & shock ... any precautionary tips?

Thanks all!

adjustable shocks for fine tuning to your comfort and your personal preferance on road holding

new dust covers dont come with shocks but you can buy them might be able to get them from demontweeks

risks from botched spring compressor least painfull brusies to loss of fingers or other parts of the body but mostly likely hospital job if goes wrong DEF DO NOT RECOMMEND

Not too sure on the reaqr studs but with the fronts all you need do is hammer it out then hammer a new one in takes no time at all.
