OK guys, i know this has been done to death but i did a search and for some reason brought up just about every thread ever created and nowt to do with insurance.

The problem is that i recieved my renewal today from MCE who i have used for years and the quote was not a kick in the ass of £900??

I'm 32, have driven since i was 18 have had no accidents, no claims and 14 years no claims bonus? this seems extorsionate so i did a "Compare the Market" and the cheapest it came up with was over £900?? It's a 1995 N/A too? not a turbo in site.

Anyone recommend a good company? Numbers would be appreciated.

Cheers

Peter

That sounds way too high!! I'm 34 have a TT import, 8 years ncb and pay about £580 fc with Sky Insurance. Worth a try mate, also try Adrian Flux who advertise on the site banner. Good luck, i'm sure you'll get it down.

Aye,

32 (nearly), 5 yrs NCB - clean licence = £700 fully comp with SKY (We don't charge a high premium but it'll cost you a small fortune to call us..) Insurance.

27, no claims/convictions, license since 19, but no NCB as i worked out of the country for 3 years and they took it off me, w*nkers, 92' TT import, can't get a quote below 3 grand, beat that one! Wounded...

22 no claims/convictions, license since 18, 4 years no claims (this year) £600 with Admiral.

I'm looking forward to being 22!

21, no claims since 17 (4 years), £1300 with Admiral. Although took out the policy when I was 20, so come renewal time I'm expecting it to be a bit cheaper.

Well, ended up going with Sky for £550 a year. not amazing but a lot better than the other quotes.

As i'm using my car as a daily driver and already have one under classic insurance, doub't heritage could have given me a deal like that unfortunately.
