NZR, primera P12 lumpy running and blue smoke

Hi, my dads primera p12 is idling very lumpy and kicking out lots of blue smoke, ive read on various websites and forums that it could be the piston rings but the car has barely done 40k, plus he rarely brakes the speed limit lol.

surely its not the piston rings at such low mileage.

does anyone have any ideas.

any comments greatly appreciated

    first thing I would do is a compression test followed by a cylinder leakage test if you have access to one, that should help confirm the problem.
