Fmic/rad/oil cooler setup for track use

This 'V' configuration is taken from an Australian Time Attack S14 running an RB26DETT conversion

I'm now seriously considering fitting a full underbody tray/diffuser and running a similar 'V' configuration on my 'Z'

My mates time attack RX7 is running the same setup with the FMIC facing the floor at dont seem to have any problems. Good luck :)

That setup has been adopted by a few track cars now (and drag cars for that matter)

Adequate directed airflow is obviously key, but it would appear to be very effective when done correctly

Now looking at stats for front exit exhausts, before the fabricator; who's already been found and is willing to do the work, gets started on the car.

(Quite handy as he's also the guy that MOT's my cars!)

Most RX7s run that set up but think main reason is because they have lots of room up front. Whifbitz TA and Drift rex's ran it but I believe it's not quite as simple as just bolting in that formation. Can find out more form the whifbitz guys if you want pez but might be a bit of grief for little benefit. Then again, i'm no expert so don't listen to me lol :whistling:

Did someone say something?

Only fookin'....yeah I've seen a few FD's run with this setup, but I suppose we 'Z' owners aren't blessed with the same copious amounts of space as them, so fair point, minimum gain

If I ditched the engine, that might free up a bit of space, I could have as many oil coolers, front mount, side mount and top mount intercoolers as I wanted then I suppose

Cheers Geeeezzzaaaaaarrr!
