I just threw the electric fan away and went back to Viscose for better cooling.

It stays around 215 degrees on the digital and in between half and three quarters on the dash one, (more towards half than three quarters).

Is that about a normal running temperature or is that still on the high side? I took the thermostat out while I was waiting on a new one, I know is a new engine so will be tight and making a lot of friction and heat until it has worn in a bit. On that note it has done around 30 miles on £22 of petrol... but it is now running and driving so nearly a working car now.

Just heard back from Kyle at IPP he said it is probably the fan clutch for the viscose fan so I will try that and let you know how I get on. Just tested the one I have on the car and it does seem to spin a bit on the easy side (fingers crossed).

eurospec 2000 ask for ben he built me a an engine capable of proven 650bhp. been very good so far, but hes extremely good at tuning too, he fitted a standalone on mine and its been all good.

they got an inbuilt dyno dynamics and have around 30-40 cars there, also its as big as tescos lol

Mine is an N/A but never moves from dead centre on the guage, 88c is optimum im sure, the shroud will help a little, especially in static traffic, but I reckon your problems are more than fitting a shroud will fix, try a new thermostat to start with is what I would do. good luck mate

Foole

5.5 mpg holy santa clause shit .......... hahaha tas nuts man id be more inclined to worry bout that and sod the thing cookin ,,lol good luck man

The electric fan should have been able to keep it under 95 without a problem, hope it is the viscous but I doubt it
