Mobile phone question - unread text/missed call alerts?

I have an old Motorola SLVR phone and like the fact it beeps every 5-10 mins if I have an unread text/missed call. Looking for a replacement and wondering if any of the newer phones have this feature, most of the time the phone is left in the car, so dont want anything to expensive.

Thanks

I have always been a Motorolla fan but I switched to a Nokia last year and I still cannot see why people love the Nokia handsets.....

......I'm sure my 6700 can be programmed to beep if I have a missed call or text; until I retrieve it, but I'm scuppered if I know how to do it:wacko:

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

I have a Samsung something or another, Genio I think ??

It can be set to alert every 1 minute, 5, 10 or whatever you set it at for incoming messages. ยฃ70 I think it was, but will be cheaper now I would reckon ??

Not a phone expert mate, sorry. I can go for 4 or 5 days and not even switch it on !!
