Top of my head guestimate based on my TT recently about 27mpg.

And I have checked this over the last few tank fulls. Strangely my car seems more economical at 80mph than at 60-70!?!?

And BTW, getting aroung 340miles at which point fuel light comes on. Filling up to brim only pushes around 55litres in which means these cars have a reasonable reserve.

don't know about miles. But I get about 700 - 750 kilometers on one tank and I have gt600r turbo, 615 injectors and so on.

I recorded with my first TT an overall 32mpg on a 150 mile motorway journey with 80mph set on the Cruise control, but that was 2-3am with no other traffic to deal with and just one long continous motorway.

I expect you could probably pull off mid to late 20's if your carefull.

Emmmm I got from zedworld to Newcastle upon Tyne in just under 3/4 of a tank, mostly cruising but a couple of plays with my mate on his ninja

well i got from dorset to newquay and back on just under 100 bobs worth last summer having said that it was a bit of a nissan honda play fight the whole way. i put 30 bucks in last weekend and ive done over a 100 miles and the lights not come on yet.

When i did my trip through Europe we had Targa's off, 3 people and a full boot and sitting around 80 average we were on 26-28mpg. My record ever was 31mpg :)

You should be able to hit 450miles to a tank! No sweat, so that should help you budget!

Thats in a Twin Turbo too if it helps :)

Quick Bit of Maths for you!

Call it 450miles to 1 tank!

Around 70litres in the tank (You have more buts its the low low reserve)

This Equals 6.43miles to the Litre!

6.43 x 4.54(Ltr to Gallons) = 29.2 MPG

SIMPLES :)

I also found this on the way back from Northumbria, following in convoy on the way @ 60ish took more fuel than coming home on my own at 80ish.

Bizarre

V power on the way there and BP ultimate on the way back

additional info

i did alot of trips between Sussex and Bolton, found that at 80 with some playing and a boot full of stuff, got about 350 miles to a tank of v power, (mines an LWB auto) so about 28 mpg, my record is 34 mpg, but thats not the point of a Z

although im not sure about the size of reserve, my zed when the light comes on you have to pray your near a petrol station, although that might just be my Z...

In my Manual NA, I average 25-27 on the motorway at 80mph. I have had up to 28, but just once, although the car was fully loaded that time and the journey covered 240 miles.

TBH, would have expected slightly more on the motorway as my 2.8litre V6 petrol 2 tonne e-class auto (with 173k on the clock) does 32!

Still happy though.

Light comes on at appx 10 litres left, i can do about 35 miles safely when it comes on solid rather than flickering on and off.

You guys are getting some good mpg figures, my standard TT auto is just scraping 26mpg motorway and currently 19mpg for the work commute which is 44mile round trip on country A roads.

I get about 8-9mpg doing the school run, and about 21 on the motorway in a NA. That's bad, right? :)

Christ, I must have a heavy right foot, never seen more than 240 per tank

although I don't get to do many long journeys

Lol likewise! 200 to a tank of general running about, odd blast here and there steady motorway much better - I've done zedworld and back on 3/4 of a tank which is 270 mile round trip - was happy with that!

Difference between the NA Z and the Merc will be gearing I expect....same with NA vs TT , the TT does better mpg on a motorway cruise than the NA becuase of the rear drive ratio.

yes being as the n/a is lower geared and i assume crusing along the motorway for miles on end the TT wouldent be boosting at all really,

it seems like the zed's are capable of doing 30mpg ish on a long run which tbh is really good considering, ive had tons of diesel 4x4's that do a lot worse than that, mainly shouguns, there awfull, about 25mpg on a run, that was a 1700kg 2.5td manual. so considering the zeds are mainly 1500kg 3.0 litre petrol i think there pretty good.

I'm sure you're correct. The Merc is only doing 3000rpm at 80mph...

That just means your having fun :D

wow, there are some good MPG's around, in my zed i put fuel in, and it never lasts long. for some reason when i try and drive carefully my foot gets stuck and the boost is always on 14psi. then the fuel light comes on.

Well have now made the long long long long endless never ending trip to spain and have managed to get 300 miles per tank at 80 to 85mph.

Not sure if its good or bad yet as too tired to think:crying:
