Vinyled Roof Bars

Will soon be sticking glossy black vinyl on my roof bars to see how good it looks and also hopefully as a quick alternative to painting them (thank Wooly).

 

Anyone tried this before and do you have any tips?

 

How did you handle the rubber strips that are on the windscreen side, as well as both ends of the central T-bar?
