Wanted - 300zx mechanic

Hi

I live in Chester (North West UK) and i need a home based mechanice (i.e. doesn't charge £25 per hour) who is good with 300 TT's.

Need someone within a reasonable distance of Chester, less then 20 miles would be great.

I'll pay a fair rate (in cash) but I aint flush and I aint stupid, any work required would NOT be given the go-ahead from me until a quote has been given and approved by myself.

The basic symptoms of my car are this:

Rough, uneven idle, stalling occasionally. Water leaks from back of engine, looks like perished/incorrectly fitted hoses.

I haven't the time or the mechanical skills to do this job.....I reckon the manifolds need taking off and every hose/connection needs checking and replacing/cleaning if necessary.

Anyone interested or knows someone that might be? Basically I'd like a fellow Z'er to help me out if possible smile.gif.

KEEP IT SIDEWAYS BABY!

Basically you're after rocking horse doo-dah !

Steve at Central Autos in Ellesmere Port is pretty good but he charges £30 per hour and is not too keen on Zeds - he may not want the work. He usually charges for a lot less than the time he actually takes. He's got a lot of experience and is good at sourcing parts for the cars from breakers yards to save money 4 u. Ring him on 0151 357 3731 if you're interested. He gets fed up with people who expect a quick fix - if you explain to him that you understand the cars are difficult to work on, he may help you out. Don't know if he's as good as or better than Duffman, but he can take a Z engine out and reassemble it.

Thanks Mac, I have read about Duffman on another thread but he is about 60 miles away frown.gif and I wouldn't wanna drive it that sort of distance at the mo'....still if push comes to shove...

Cheers Nelson. I can fully appreciate that these cars aint easy to work on but I do think that experience counts for alot. I will give him a call over the weekend, Ellesmere is only 15 mins away from me.

Anyone else?

How did I miss this post??? lol

Chris, yeah I can do any work you want. Got my own engine out at the mo for a rebuild, so should answer your question as to what's possible etc... Email me on z32@btinternet.com, I'll give you my phone number and we can talk through a few things...

CheerZ,

Andy

Hi Andy smile.gif. I will email you but I think i read somewhere that you're in Preston which is 60 odd miles away frown.gif....I wouldn't risk driving that far at the mo'.
