Ok, i've bought some Koni shocks with Eibach springs from Toftdale on here so hoping to have them fitted next month.

What other "cheap" parts are worth changing while the suspension is out?

Garaged mentioned about new Bump stops or something but not being mechanically minded i haven't a clue. is it worth doing Droplinks and stuff and i'd also like to do the front bushes but these seem a bit pricey.

Just thought i'd get as many little things done while the suspension is out.

Any help / eBay links appreciated. :)

Basically check the droplinks, tension rods and camber arms. You can see if the tension rod bushes have split as they'll leak silicone. Other stuff to replace are the strut top gaskets, the shock bellows as they split. You shouldn't need bump stops unless yours are split or perished. Eibach springs are stiffer and barely lower the car, so you're unlikely to bottom out.

On my UK model I had to replace the front tension rods as the rubber was worn, and they ripped my tyres to shreds on the inner edges!

I have a full set of standard suspension arms if they find anything knackered when its in the air.

Cheers Si and Baz. A garage will be doing it so i was just going to try to buy iup all the bits i may need cheapley before it goes in. I'm fast running out of cash now though. WELL overspent for the month on the Zed alone :(

I know you aint mechanically minded, but is jacking the car up and checking out the bushes within your power?

NOt really since i have no clue what a bush would look like or where to find it.

I always thought a bush would actually look like.......well......a bush. But no, i was even mistaken on that point. :(

Ive got a set of stock rear suspension arms that i've fitted energy bushes into, going cheap.

PM me if your interested.

I'm looking mainly to get the front done first mate as I've had shakey steering issues since I got the car. Thought if I replace as much as I can afford to eliminate some possibilities.

Nae bother.

I've just fitted the Driftworks Front Camber arms and Tension Rods to mine.

Weren't terribly expensive.
