Hello!

 

I have this "small" problem...

that is very bad now in summer. When driving i get a lot of hot air comming from behind stereo. I mean it makes the car very hot inside. Anyone has had this problem and can help me sort this out?

i have exactly the same is your a/c working?

Atm my a/c isn't working... going to fill it up next weekend - checked for leaks and had to fix 2, now it's ok.

But does this mean you need to keep a/c running? Or some pipe is normally open? How can we, f.ex., close all air ducts?

This is an un-educated guess, but I'm sure I've read on here, (or other), that some people remove the ruber seal on the bulkhead to aid sub-bonnet cooling.

 

This would tell me that maybe air from under the bonnet is finding it's way into the cabin through the heater/matrix/vents.

 

The part of the bulkhead at the top of the trans' tunnel is always a collector of heat, (even on FWD cars, but particularly on RWD cars!!). Strangely enough, that's usually where the cabin ventilation system lives. There's seldom nuch airflow around that part and it's exactly the point you're talking about, so either free up some cold air around there or block off the ingress.

This weekend going to check it out and try to find where it comes from...

I hope is just because of some rubber seal gone bad but i dont think so. Seems like i can never completely turn the air system off. Seems that is a steady flow of air from ventilation system...

 

Now i got to the point where i also need some new coil plugs - myne are broken...
