No need, alarms that need this connected are using voltage drop sensing to trigger the alarm, so they use this connection to ignore any electric fans that can come on when the ignition is off and the alarm is set. As the zed does not have any fans running when the ignition is off you can ignore the connection.

This is true, and any alarm that is still using voltage drop will be ancient technology anyway and will constantly going off on a Z as they have quite a high current draw when sitting

The alarm is a Sparkrite which was brought from Halfords. The manual says to connect the wire to the electric fan so that it doesn't trigger off the alarm if the fan kicks in. I'm sure the Z does have a secondary fan infront of the rad.

Any advice how to connect the wire please?

beleive me mate they are a piece of junk and you will have nothing but false alarms even with the wire connected

Spent hours installing the alarm and can't be bothered taking it back out. Gona give it a try see if it is any good but I still need that wire from the aux fan. I need to tap in between the aux fan and the switch for current sensing.

Anyone know an easy way of getting to it?

Thanks for the reply mate.

Bit of a pain getting to the fan that's why I was looking for a shortcut but now I have found the wire. It's connected to the fan relay.
