Garage has just got back to me saying there's two problems fitting the decat pipes, There's lambda sensors (well theres cat temp sensors I told 'em - told him to slice em off) but unknown to me there are two metal pipes about 1" diameter going into the stock pipes coming from the inner arch area - wtf are these? can I disconnect them? will they affect running? Also when I take off the cat temp sensors I'll assume they'll leave me a red light on the dash, how can I stop this - just earth the wires? Cheers!

aiv''s are the 1" pipes they inject air into the exhaust system to lower emissions. just remove them its fine.

when you get the car back take out the aiv gubbins inside each wheel arch.

cat light shouldn't come on. just cut the wires.

you also wont get the annoying gurgling from the wheel arch in the winter either when the u pipe fills with water.;) surprising how much the emissions control shit all weights!!

they should've been ripped out LONG ago!!! ;)

handy site that mate,

the cat light will only come on if the cable gets earthed i think, just cut it cleanly, tape it up/heat shrink and shove it up through the hole, if it does start lighting up, just take the bulb out!
