Hello all, Just to introduce myself to the forum as i will be on quiet regularly.

Just bought a 1993 Imported 300zx Automatic Twin Turbo 2+2 in red with ultralite Alloys in gold with polished rim. Got it for a steal (£2k mates rates) and hes also sorted my insurance out to fully comp for under £1k with only 3yr driving 4yr no claims with my age of 26 (on 17/6/10 yay me)... not bad realy is it

I had a 1992 import Honda Crx del Sol SIR which has lasted me 1yr 4mth but unfortunately has started to rust and i couldnt afford to repair the rust, then got offered this nissan. Need some attention as the dash clock does not work (seen a fix here for it :thumbup1:) and the climate control display also does not work (buttons work but no screen) so ill be sniffing around for information to fix that. Apart from those 2 things its pretty much mint.

Welcome matey :)

ps. How did you get 4yrs no claims when you've only been driving for 3? Or have I read that wrong.lol

Welcome to the club matey... looking forward to pics.

May see you around as my mum has just moved to sheffield, so I'll be over there a bit!

Welcome to the club, sounds like the climate control ecu knackered, if you are getting no display or check the connectors to it. Its down by where the clutch pedal would be and up a bit behind the centre console ( black box)

You can host them on here if you are a subscribed user, otherwise you'll have to use photobucket or similar.

You havent read that wrong, i was on a no claims accelerator which gave me 1yr per 8mth which is expensive until you get 4/5yr no claims then you just move to someone else that will be cheap as its a valid no claims certificate that they give you. No company may refuse it and if they do you can have them for it :tongue_smilie:

Welcome mate, re your insurance though its not bad but not amazing. I paid that at 20 on an auto TT with 1 years NCB. These days at 23 I pay about 700 for for a slicktop with 4 years NCB. Always pays to shop around and ring up for this type of car. Comparision websites rarly get close!

Could i ask who your insured with, Just incase i run into difficulties with company insurance (lets face anything can happen lol).

True true! Just through adrian flux on a cherished car policy it is limited milage and all that jazz, handy as i dont really use the 300zx much - its just a weekend car really. Depends on how you intend to use yours (i.e how big your wallet is at the petrol station and how brave you are! lol)

It is my only car lol. Selling my other. Then again my other was getting on a bit and was only getting around 250miles outta £50. Not very good mpg tbh.

im getting 20 miles for £10. no sh*t!

I have a boost leak though so my mpg is worse than normal...

also thats just driving around in town in 2/3rd gear!

still terrible though...
