Yep, it is possible on 3.1.3. as my brother did it last week keep searching bud I'll get intouch with him for best/easiest way

sorry to sound stupid but what does jailbreaking an iphone do? (dont really like iphones but just wondering)

Generally unlocks them to do what you want with the, so maybe use them on a different network than they were originally supplied, or unlock internet tethering or allow you to change parts of the interfac that arent normally customisable. That kind of thing :)

Go to you tube and type in dinozambas. He works alongside the devteam who do alot of the jailbreaking for the iPhone. Watch his vids you'll learn loads even on stuff after you've done the jailbreak.

Please note that this won't unlock the phone to work with other networks as suggested above, it just allows you to install non-Apple approved applications (e.g. Cydia, MXTube, SBSettings and so on).

Used Spirit last night. All seems good so far.

i have pressed the delete contacts reset and now it wont jailbreak, read on another iphone forum that it is safe to do this, any ideas anyone ?

spiritjb for 3.1.3 - as said.

it wont work as itunes says its in recovery mode, but if press restore on itunes it will be updated to 3.1.3 and blackrain cannot unlock that
