Hi chaps just baught a 300zx with 96000km, its a jap import in pearl white vg30dett engine (auto:blink:), wish could of afforded a manual, great car but does not seem as quick as it should seem to put my foot down thunks about it for a minutire then goes but sometimes when i put my foot down there is like no boost, seems to drive abit better with overdrive off, just seems like a women abit tempremental at times!, the stock boost gage goes to max but just no power at times!, please help cheers chris!

as for your issue it could be any number of things such as a boost leak! maf sensor! it could be going into safty boost! or have a loose conection on any of the injector or coil pack plugs?

Just by listening to your problem it sounds more like the kick down isn't working correctly. If I'm doing 60 in 5th on a manual and I put the foot down the power isn't instantanious. Still a pearl white 300 is a rare thing :gunsmilie:

cheers, just keep finding new things every day with this car!, found a turbo timer hidden in the footwell shame its been disconnected everything is in bloddy japenese!, my have to take up some lessons! lol, anyway im gonna get it booked into zedworld and hopefully they can sort its little issues!, (no too exp i hope) cheers for all the welcomes will upload some pics soon!

Good boost with low power is normally as a result of retarded ignition, however all manner of things may need "adjusting" to return the performance back to normal, throttle balance, ignition timing, tps settings, and more, mostly a short ConZult diagnostica and set uo is enough to correct all of these.
