Just my opinion but why bring extra dogs into the world when there are plenty in rescue homes

cause people want american bulldogs, he is a specific breed not a mongrel thagt will be abandoned

Not a serious answer , but if Riddick could talk , he`d be saying " Just hurry up and let me get on with it , Allan ffs ! :tongue_smilie: "

If she was ugly you should have put a bag over her head done the deed and took the money:rolleyes:

Just sounds like a way to make a quick buck imo. There is plenty dogs out there as already said, but this breed mostly comes across to me as people who try and act hard or want to look tough. That's imo from what i see of most owners of these types of dogs

title of this thread is asking if anyone knows about dog breeding, doesnt say anywhere about being a smart ass and having sly digs

but this breed mostly comes across to me as people who try and act hard or want to look tough.

Not all people want them for that reason (and im not saying you are one stellaZ) but It makes me laugh all the chavs around here that have them trying to act tough, but when they see my uncle walking his dog they all of a sudden look pathetic next to an English Mastiff and they go very quiet LOL

But he does look very muscley for a bulldog

looks a fine animal Allan and any bitch dog with that hooked up it will and should knock out fine looking pups. The given rule normally around these parts is the price of a pup for stud fee's in cash and the pick of the litter also;)

i would prefer the pic of the litter as i want another dog

thing is though, i would want a decent person, not some chav that will sell the pups to just anyone, would love to see the breed become more popular as they are a lovely dogs

 your not trying to breed a dog that can rip and chew your balls off and then run that fast the dog warden cant catch it are you:rofl:

Certainly wasn't having a go at you bud, I just always think there's enough dogs out there already ;) Wish everyone looked after their dogs like you obviously do.

Firstly look up experts who judge the breed. Have them examine and judge him. Most important aspect is that he is genetically correct and sound. No use in considering breeding him if he isn't 100%. I have one full male Rottweiler and most people who see him comment about how beautiful he is, and I have to say that he has a beautiful head, chest, shoulder coupled with a wonderful temperament. One local lad wanted him to cover his bitch, but I refused. He is just not fully correct behind and there is no use in passing those genes on. In my opinion responsible breeding is key.

When I was growing up, we had gun dogs and it never effected the males, if they got at the occassional bitch.

Is he Kennel Club registered Al, with the certificate..etc, showing family tree for the past half a dozen or so generations ?

This is the sort of thing owners look for in a Pedigree dog. as well as the health of both parents ofcourse.

Is so, then he's Ideal and will fetch a good price for his Pups.

I know what you mean, but they tend to be cross-breed Pitbull terrier Mongrels (so they can get around the dangerous dogs act).

Its quite a big issue currently apparantly.....with people using them as weapons on the streets.

They are very different to Allans Pedigree breed though.
