Im in the process of cleaning and overhauling my manual box,(not internals) and ive noticed 1 pipe entry/exit point, a bit like a vac pipe union. ( i have an auto at the minute, hence the question) the box is on a bench in my garage.

Is this for an oil cooler? i thought it would have an in and an out.

Or is it for a vac line? Does it need to be connected and if so, what too?

 

Any ideas? I will try and get some pics up to show the bit im on about.

Its a breather, it does'nt go to anything.

The one i,ve bought has got outlets for an oil cooler although i,ve been told it,s not needed and i just need to loop a pipe from one to the other ???

I just have the one outlet, so breather pipe makes sense.
