This summer will be my wedding anniversary and I am planning to surprise my lady with a tour around England; I thought about driving from Barcelona to GB but then again I am too lazy..so probably will fly and then thought about a nice around the country train experience...I would like to know some nice ideas on how to surprise? where should we go? like nice land escapes..we love countryside and the sea...what itinerary would you guys recommend to make it a beautiful trip? the atlatic coast? any small cozy nice villages restaurants you would recommend??

Cornwall and devon for a chilled out experiience, coast line and countryside.

 

Betws y Coed North Wales, is pretty cool.

 

Don't bother using trains over here, you'll be bankrupt by the time you go home.

 

Much cheaper to hire a car, and then gives you the freedom, to go where you want.

I'd head down to the South west - Cornwall & Devon are the best Holiday destinations. Lots of countryside and sea.

 

Wales is nice too, but Im not familar with the best areas.

 

You could even drive along the entire south coast route, from the east (london) down to Lands end.

 

Definaty go for a road trip rather than train though.

Train prices are ok if you book in advance.And if you plan on using them a lot you can get discount cards.
