Lol....Even worse is the real price they will offer you is the chip price the sales guy is targeted to offer after he looks at it.

40% less....so around £400 :sneaky2:

almost as annoying as there ****ing tv advert

I thought it's just me thinking that their advert is annoying!

It really is annoying!!!!

quoted me £600 for my n/a and i was honest as in body and paintwork needed and engine as much use a choc cake near a fire etc

so was impressed to be fair doubt it would have been anything like that price had they seen it maybe take the last zero off

Has any one seen the latest ad with the footballs, even more annoying but I would rinse the girl

seen it it shouted at it hate it lol, nahh they are catchy though but not the tune i want to stick in my head lol

I've got to the stage now, where I've got to turn the tv over because I hate it so much.

We should start our own song in work Dean. It's great seeing customers faces when we give them there part exchange prices, think what there faces would be like if we jumped out of our seats acting like idiots singing a stupid song  Priceless

NOTHING is as annoying as that Advert :ban:

i don't understand HOW they keep afloat and make money. surely no-one will sell them anything at the prices they offer, no matter how desperate.

WBAC is owned by UKCGR - UK Car Group Remarketing - which also owns Carcraft car supermarket

The car is actually bought by UKCGR and not WBAC (just a trading internet name)

As carcraft have now such a bad reputation for selling cars this is why they are having to look at different avenues. So they use this heavy handed approach to be friendly on the internet and telephone and then behave like sharks when you take your car in and intimidate you into selling your car and not leaving with it

They can take sometinme to pay the money. Or they take your car off you and dont settle the finance owing straight away like they agreed. they sometimes sell your car on and dont settle the finance until forced to do so by 3rd parties

A few of the cars they buy go onto their forecourt or internet but 95 % go straight to Auctions where they enter them under UKCGR name suggesting they are more like Part Exchanges to Trade.

So although they state in their advertising that they offer a better price than trading in your car or selling it to another garage. They buy the car at 80% of its true trade value put on £500-£1000 profit / reserve price, send the car to auction who also make a profit and then a garage or trader buy the car to retail on. cars sometimes end up being eventually sold for nearly twice the original price offered by WBAC.

so be warned, better just to sell your car to a trustworthy dealer

I got a valuation for my Z - £880.

Not bad seen as I paid £800 for it :tt2: :nana2:

Whats ever more annoying is that the adverts are doing their job well......we certainly remember them !

Legrath, you've got it, we only remember the annoying ones, especially the bl££ding meerkats..

Had my MR2 valued with them, worth £1750, they quoted me

£50

Larfed like a drain.

R

I have a 1995 Mercedes CL500 coupe advertised at the mo online and it is about the cheapest in the country at 3 grand.. we rob any car quoted £1420, yet I put my import Honda civic in and the quoted £700 ( £70 quid more than I sold it for).

I think if its not general mainstream, hatchback, jellymould crap they have no idea.

And now I know that they are something to do with Carcraft(y dishonest rip ya off group) all is explained.

Slow down , mate , before your post average gets totally out of control

Kidding : sometimes less is more :)
