hi im new to forums and im new to the 300zx scene.

i have wanted one for years but have 4 children.

i have recently been able to afford one as i need ti have a family car as well as the new toy.

 

Im having a few problems tho its a 1990 twin T (auto)

when i accelerate the boost gage goes right up to 7 then drops right back down with no real kick.

the engine doesnt smoke and makes no tapping noises nor overheats

 

i suspect turbo or vacuum problems as other than this the car drives fine just slower than my 2.0 red top astra :(

 

any ideas would be apreciated ( already ordered a usb consult cable with software

yep they will do the job! im not sure about the decat (although i have done mine) they say u shouldnt unless you know your turbo/seals are in good order? but yes it will give more power for sure as the standared CATS are very restrictive,

 

i plan to replace the turbos next year anyway all the kids will be in fulltime school so i can work fulltime then :D so ill do the decat then and get it all done together i spose i can work on the interior first as it is a bit shabby

will adding the mig tips now be pointless then or will i still see some form of gain :D

started with the audio :D manage to get 1 6x9 in the passneger door card was a right nightmare the previous owner messed all wiring up so i had to fully rewire the head unnit and run all 4 speaker cables :(

looking good tho got the drivers side to do tommorow does anyone have any idea on how to fit 6x9 in the boot or is it a custom box job !!
