Ok earlier on I installed a new head unit which was working fine until I put all the dash back together only to find it wouldnt power on. Also my pillar pods were not lighting up anymore either. So I checked the fuses and the top right (which I believe is audio) had blown. I replaced it and now the gauges in the pillar now light up again but my stereo doesnt work. I've had a look at the ISO and it looks ok, and I have also checked the fuse on the back of the headunit.

The strange thing is the electric aerial activates when i plug in the ISO and goes back down when I unplug it from the headunit. But no power to the headunit.

I've also tried three separate head units. No joy.

take the wire for earth from the stereo to iso, and ground it separately on the chassis behind it. the earth on the loom is pants, when i used the loom earth mine would turn off when switching the head lights on, and cut out when turning the volume up. until i earthed it on the chassis.

I think a previous owner has already done that to be honest, from what I remember earlier

are you sure the +12v is correctly situated in the iso, do you have uk spec or jdm zed as the wire colors are different.

I'll have a look with you tmrw in work dude. You've prob just loosened another wire when pushing the new head unit in.

Sorted we re-earthed from the ISO

hate to say it, but i told ya so  hehehe, only messing, glad you got it sorted.

Its really strange tho, there must have been an earth somewhere but there was absolutely nothing in sight on closer inspection on the orignal loom.
