Help on removing brake line connector

I'm going to change the front brake lines for SS HEL ones, problem is I can't get the connector on the inner wing to undo. I've plus gassed and wd40'd it but the connector is just rounding off on the spanner.

Does anyone have any tips on getting these undone?

Are you using a proper Brake spanner ? (almost a full ring with just a small cutout to get it over the brake pipe) An open ended spanner usually slips.

I was using a standard open ended one. Thanks for that I'll get the right tool and hopefully that will do it.

Cheers Dave

rounded of the spanner, they sound good. If you are putting the old pipes in the bin just cut them off near the nut end and used a socket.

If you are replacing it then cut it close to the union, then get a 10mm socket on. Will come off a treat. But yeah you can get proper spanners for the job.

not much better lol, just shows that personal techniques and knowledge can be helpful for others

I'm replacing the "rubber pipe" bits from the main lines to the caliper, so I can't cut them off. I've got a crow's foot that should fit over the pipe, I'll give it a go tomorrow.
