Is there any other car that the Nissan 300zx shares a gearbox with (I assume the TT and NA manual are the same)? This information could provide a cheaper way of sourcing a gearbox!

The TT and NA gearboxes are different IIRC.

The gearboxes are similar but not quite the same as the bellhousing on the NA is slightly smaller so to use a TT flywheel they do require a small amount of grinding IIRC. Also you have to space the starter motor away from the flywheel because its of course slightly closer.

As far as i am aware the gearbox is unique to the 300zx although I could be wrong!

Yep Quavey is correct n/a and TT gearboxes are the same apart from the bellhousing, easy job to grind away the excess material, I did it over christmas, small spacer to space the starter out too :thumbup1:

Also someone told me the Nissan patrol was the same gearbox??bellhousing is very different but can be swapped??? I would like to know this too if anyone can confirm?
