They come up now and again but are quite rare. Making your own is very simple, the hard bit is getting the panel apart without breaking it lol

Although the EL panels are on ebay here

you need to go and order from their website here

http://www.glowhut.com/el-strip--el-panel.html

I have bought the red one and its just over £21.00 with the postage.

Furthermore, there are plenty of comments about the opening up of the rear panel, what about putting it back together?

Do you remove all the gunk and re-apply something?

Do you just heat up what's there and squeeze together?

For those that have done it please advise, I thankyou.

Just ordered a red panel from Glow hut today, hopefully it might be here by the end of the week. Luckily I have a spare centre panel to "practice" on. Lol

I got one but no piccies, to be honest I'd swap it for one without a rear lit up 300zx as I'd preffer it without

i will swap a standard one with ya if ya like?

I have been fiddling today as I have my EL strip from glowhut.

See the pics but I have just laid it and taped up the edges to stop any light bleed. :winkiss:

I think it was a little orange really so I think you can see the difference in the two pics as on one of them I have shone it through a couple of sheets of red translucent folder dividers and this as just deepened up the colour.

Will fit to the car very soon. :cool3:

i think they look better with just the outline of the writing illuminated, rather than all of it, that's what i'm doing, allthough i did crck it :( but opened the crack, some black paint in there, seemed to do the trick, can't really see it! but having OCD, if it ain't right, getting another, this time i wont crack it.... ALSO, never read it anywhere, so ended up cracking it, there are 4 little metal pins that just push in on on edge, hard to notice, they have to be pulled out first! That's why folk crack em!

The illuminated rear panel is all fitted now and very nice it looks to!!!

I think it as a perfect brightness to it.

Had to wait until 10.30pm to take the pics, as when I fit mid afternoon it is hardly visible in the daylight.

One of the pics is taken with my hazards on, I was not going to include this but my GSD's ears are on it!!!

Not sure what do with my spare untouched panel I have, I will have a think but I may buy a EL card for it and illuminate in red the same and then sell, but of course I risk breaking it if I attempt another!! :whistling:

You've done a good job there, I'm liking the red. I must get both of mine sorted out. They are both OEM, the one I've got fitted has packed up, not sure why yet, and another one has never worked since I've had it, so may experiment on that one and possibly fit a red one like yours, I may even spray the inner light surrounds to match my lights ;)

Here's one I prepared earlier.......

This was taken a long time ago, and the panel was done from scratch with a standard panel...

anyone got a rear centre panel (un-modified) they would like to donate to a good cause? :) :) :)

I dont know about donate!!!!!!

I laid out fifty for the one I have done and do want to recoup some of that back, the one I have un-modified is in a good a condition as you are gonna get.

worth a try mate, hahaha, pretty peppered at the mo, that's zed ownership for :) still waiting to be paid for a big job at a school from early december! nobs...

If I get my original OEM one working properly it'll be up for sale, but I'd be expecting in the region of £90 to £100 for it (plus P&P) Got to get the other one working as well yet.
